Humans have a tendency to create things that comfort them. This can be said the basis of Artificial Intelligence and the new Augmented Reality technology. With the recent advancements in technology, we have seen some rigorous development in Artificial Intelligence and robotics.
This has led us to an era where automation is a great thing and it is playing a pivotal role in industries. It is also forecasted that in near future most of the skill-based jobs will be done by machines. This introduces fear and uncertainty among humans that what would they do? Will the machines completely replace humans in every walk of life? Can humans do anything?
AI is Beating Humans in Games
One of the best and mew augmented reality game is the newly release Pokemon Go by Pokemon company and Niantic. And recently, we have also seen the success of Google AlphaGo, an AI which is programmed to play the board game “Go”. Its first victory against a professional human was in October 2015 and the AI is beating professionals ever since. Most recently, we saw AlphaGo’s win against Lee Sedol, from South Korea, who is an 18-time champion of the game.
Where the success of AlphaGo made many people cheer, its success is also worrying people. What role of humans will be when the AI systems are doing all the jobs? Will they be able to start doing things at their own will without having good intentions for humans as seen by many futurists and sci-fi writers?
Although there is a slight possibility that machines will become so powerful that they will take over humans, it is not likely to happen right now or 30 years from now or 50 years for that matter.
Why? Because AI is all about machines, and machine are mechanical – and when we talk about mechanical, we know it is about setting some set of rules for the thing to work. On the other hand, human brain is not mechanical, it’s biological. We are making mechanical things according to our understanding of brain, but if we say frankly, we don’t know anything about brain. It is unknown to us how an idea takes place in the brain. This phenomenon, the taking place of an idea, can’t be replicated in machines, because we ourselves don’t know how it happens so we can’t replicate it in machines.
Even the father of computing, Alan Turing himself admitted that making a machine to have an idea is not likely.
What Does That Mean?
Augmented Reality – Artificial Intelligence is not a treat to humanity and we don’t have to worry about machine taking over in the near future. Instead, it would be a positive thing if we see more automation. We just heard the news online that a new game from Niantic and Pokemon Company release the very first Augmented reality game title Pokemon Go. The game is free to play but offere in-app-purchases also. But you can always find a way from in-app purchases by using any Pokemon Go Hack.
Because what makes humans different from machines is their ability to think and complex social skills like emotional intelligence. According to a research the jobs for humans in 2020 will be these complex tasks like motivation, persuasion, emotional intelligence and others. Machines can’t replicate these because these actions are, simply, not replicable.
Therefore, this aspect of humans – of nature – gives them an upper hand against machines and that’s why no matter how advanced machine become they will not be able to generate a unique idea. That’s where humans win!
